This page summarizes the controls available to manage age, permissions, advertising, analytics, communications and privacy rights related to Brainlocity.
1. Age and access
Brainlocity requires users to be at least 13 years old. The app may use a neutral age screen and, where legally applicable, age range or approval mechanisms provided by Apple or Google. Brainlocity seeks to keep only the age category needed to apply the access requirement and other legal obligations. Users aged 13 to 17 and adults receive, in general terms, the same educational experience and the same conservative advertising standard. A technical difference in age or consent signal may apply only when needed to comply with the law or the rules of a platform.
2. Microphone
Brainlocity uses the microphone only when you voluntarily start a feature that needs audio, such as a pronunciation exercise. You can revoke the permission from your operating system’s privacy settings. If you turn off the microphone, features that require voice cannot be used.
3. Notifications
You can turn notifications on or off from your iOS or Android settings and, where available, from Brainlocity’s settings. Communications essential for security, purchases or important account changes may be sent through other permitted channels, such as email.
4. Advertising and consent
The free tier of Brainlocity may show ads through Google AdMob. Brainlocity requests non-personalized ads for all users and applies conservative ad content restrictions to keep ads within categories appropriate for a general, family audience, for both teens and adults. These restrictions do not mean that Google does not process technical data. Google may use certain identifiers or permitted technical information to deliver ads, limit frequency, measure results, prevent fraud and operate its service. Brainlocity may technically indicate to Google that a request corresponds to a teen or to an unspecified/adult age when needed to apply regulatory protections; that signal is not used by Brainlocity to personalize ads. When the applicable rules require consent or additional choices, Brainlocity will show a compatible consent platform before requesting advertising or local storage that depends on those signals. If the platform indicates that you must be able to review your choices, Brainlocity will offer a “Privacy options” entry to reopen them.
5. Analytics
Brainlocity may use Firebase Analytics with settings intended to limit advertising signals and avoid sending sensitive content. When Brainlocity offers an optional analytics control in the app, you will be able to turn it on or off from Profile or Settings > Privacy. Features strictly necessary for security, fraud prevention, authentication and operation are not considered optional analytics.
6. Account and deletion
You can delete your account from the app or use the official deletion resource at https://legal.brainlocity.com/account-deletion.html. You can also write to [email protected]. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google.
7. Privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction or withdrawal of consent. To exercise them, contact [email protected]. Brainlocity may verify your identity before responding. Where the law allows or requires it, a parent or guardian may exercise certain rights on behalf of a minor user.
8. Targeted advertising, sale or regulated sharing
Brainlocity does not sell personal information for money and does not deliberately use user data to build its own cross-app or cross-site behavioral advertising profiles. If an applicable law classifies an activity of an advertising provider as a sale, sharing or regulated targeted advertising, Brainlocity will enable the required opt-out mechanism where applicable.
